32 year old man charged with death of woman in Jessop Court

Following the stabbing of a 25 year old woman at a block of flats at Jessop Court off Graham Street in Islington, Arben Rexha, 32 has been charged over her death.

The woman was found stabbed after neighbours heard a ‘loud thump and scream during an argument’ in the night. Rexha who also of Jessop Court appeared at the Old Bailey yesterday and was remanded in custody. He will appear in court again on the 21st April to enter a plea according to a statement released by The Metropolitan Police. A provisional trial date has been set 11 July.

Neighbours from the block of flats said that Ms Demiraj who is of Albanian nationality had only recently moved into the block.

Medics were unable to save her and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
