A true Islington institution, Screen on the Green has been entertaining film audiences in Islington for over 100 years. But it’s not the only place in the borough offering independent cinema. Reel Islington host a monthly film club as well as an annual film festival that aims to support independent filmmakers in the borough.

In this podcast, Anjali Mandalia speaks to Luke Doran, Assistant Venue Manager of Screen on the Green, and Viva Msimang from Islington-based charity Rowan Arts, which supports the festival, about what attracts Islington-based audiences to independent films.
