Independent cinema isn’t just for hardcore movie buffs. We look at what’s on in Islington and find out why audiences are attracted to independent films

A true Islington institution, Screen on the Green has been entertaining film audiences in Islington for over 100 years. But it’s not the only place in the borough offering independent cinema. Reel Islington host a monthly film club as well as an annual film festival that aims to support independent filmmakers in the borough.
