Yoga Fundraiser For Refugees In Calais
On Wednesday 3rd February, Campus London will be hosting a yoga fundraiser for refugees in Calais. It doesn’t matter if you’re a yoga professional or if you would normally rather stay on your sofa, watching the latest episode of The Voice. Maybe it’s time for a change.
Tabitha Dean, a full-time yoga teacher, will be welcoming anyone who would like to participate and mats will be provided. Tabitha has been teaching yoga for over ten years after she decided to do what she really loves, combining both health and fitness. “Yoga is an amazing tool for mental, physical and emotional well-being. Yoga is also a tool for uniting and understanding we are not separate, that we’re all human being. We breath, we think, we create and our essences are all the same. I don’t really believe in borders. I believe that we need to offer support to other and we have the capacity to do so,” Tabitha explains.
The young yoga teacher is fundraising for Calais’s refugees because she thinks that it’s a very tricky situation. “We’ve got people only 20 miles from the shores of Britain who are living in really bad conditions, who require food, who require shelter, who are suffering from all kind of illnesses like hypothermia. I feel it’s our responsibility to take care of these people.”
Make sure you attend the event.
